THE STORY

The Spot Parlor opened in 2017 inside a former arcade on Chicago's west side. The owner — a third-generation barber who grew up tagging walls and beating Mortal Kombat at the corner store — wanted a shop that felt like home for kids who loved both.

Today the walls are covered in commissioned graffiti. The Batman piece in the back chair was painted by a local artist over three nights. The arcade cabinets in the waiting room are real — and yeah, they're free play.

But the haircuts are the real point. Every barber on the team has at least a decade on the clippers and was hand-picked. No rookies. No guesswork. Just sharp work, every chair, every time.
